Being Without A Home Is A Thief

Today, I am sitting outside on a restuarant patio, without a home or a vehicle, listening to a FB Live of a church ministry. How opposite of my life before. Oh, how I hate not being able to attend church of my choosing, where I want to go and when I want to go.

Oh, how I miss being in the sanctuary, prayer, praise, praise team, praises unto God, choir, the WORD of God, prayer, fellowship. Until a little before COVIDq9, I had been out of physical in the building church attendance until I made the choice to attend, irregardless.

Being without a home and incoming income and revenue, living in a shelter and 24 hour drop in places #robbed me of Sunday physical church until I made the choice to attend irregardless of who didn’t want me to attend. Irregardless of my environment and life situation.

Another reason why I hate being without a home and genuine support in the things that “I” want to do and “pursue”.

If I had a vehicle, I could drive to where I want to go and when I want to go.

A home is vital to one’s daily life:

  1. Rest is done in a home.
  2. Physical Hygiene is done in a home.
  3. Relationships and support are in a home.
  4. Safety is found in most homes.
  5. Security is found in most homes.
  6. Storage, a place to keep and leave your things is at home.
  7. Protection is found in most homes.
  8. Home based business is in a home.
  9. Relaxation is in a home.
  10. Refuge is in a home.
  11. When you can’t go anywhere else, you can always go “home”.

Being without a home or homelessness robbed me of some things and the thief has been found. Now it must restore me back sevenfold.

But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house. – Proverbs 6:31 KJV

I Used To Be In AmeriCorps

I used to be in AmeriCorps. For my orientation with particular organization that I was to serve as an AmeriCorps Volunteer Service Member we were flown to Clearwater, Florida. During this great experience and orientation, we went kayaking. I was able to kayak for the first time in Florida. I want to say it was in Miami, and after sharing this on other social media outlets, it may have been Key West, I remember someone pointing out that Cuba was near.

This was my first time paddling the waters along with others I did not know before this opportunity. Florida is also where I tried Mahi-Mahi.

In this writing, I realized how great of an opportunity it was! I had never been to Florida before then and I had not been kayaking before then!

I Love Vegetables

I love vegetables. I used to be a Vegetarian and a Pescaterian. I also love to create my own healthy, creative, delicious dishes. Pictured are some ingredients and part of the process of my Mushroom & Spinach Alfredo that I created. I loved eating only vegetables. I have since those times started back eating meat, something that I also love and vegetables pair great with. You can eat vegetables and they be delicious. Who said that eating vegetables couldn’t be good? Who said that vegetables couldn’t be good? Would you like to know how to make vegetable dishes from scratch? Not just peas and carrots. Great tasting things. If so, drop your email.

Why I Stopped Using CLINIQUE 3 Step Collection

About CLINIQUE

Founded in 1968, CLINIQUE is an Estēe Lauder Company.

Per Estēe Lauder Companies website,

“CLINIQUE’s mission has always been to provide the safest, most effective formulas in simple routines that bring remarkable results.”

Also per the website,

It is allergy tested and 100% fragrance free.

My Beginnings With CLINIQUE

1. My mother told me about it. It was something she saw in a magazine or newspaper and she thought that it would be good for me.

2. I also, having an avid interest in skincare, skincare products, beauty products and wanting to have great, beautiful skin, and for my skin to look it’s best, years ago, I tried and started using CLINIQUE Three Step Collection.

At that time, in my young adult years, by the grace of God, I could afford it and the upkeep; maintenance of the product. At least, in my mind and my thinking at that time, I “thought” I could. Now, I have a better understanding of money and value. I did “literally” and “tangibly” have the money to buy it and replenish it when I needed more, it was an investment into my skin and appearance, however, I didn’t have any assets, stock, or long term valuables. But this subject is for another blog and blog post. I have a personal blog about Financial Wealth Management called, Fabulous Finances. Follow to receive posts!

I would purchase CLINIQUE 3 Step Collection from my local, at that time HUDSON’S department store. It is now Macy’s. I still remember the light yellowish big block of facial soap and the sea foam green soap dish – case with the words CLINIQUE across the top of it. I started with the collection for Combination Skin and began switching the toner out for the Combination Oily toner. It became my daily and nightly skin care routine, until I noticed that my skin began to turn dark!

I stopped using it. And I personally, am leary about using it again. It is one of those you know that it did this to your skin, type of thing, therefore you are not going to or don’t want to use it again.

I am African American. I had or have sensitive skin. My skin may have become non sensitive or I just haven’t encountered anything that has irritated it lately.

This is my first hand personal experience with CLINIQUE 3 Step Collection. If you have experienced anything like this, please feel free to share your experience below.
