Help Me Attend Cosmetology School! :)

I re-enrolled into Cosmetology School at Regency Beauty Institute.  My classes are scheduled to start on August 17, 2015 but before I can attend I have to have my tuition (out-of-pocket) monthly payments covered.

The the total monthly (out-of-pocket) payment is: $7469.50. This has to be paid in 8 monthly payments with the first payment being due the day I start class.

When graduating from high school I wanted to go to Cosmetology School. My father informed me that I couldn’t make any money in the Cosmetology field. He gave another major as an idea an idea as to a major (money wise).  Twenty years later, with a college degree, I still have the desire to attend and to enhance my skills and knowledge within the field and to work and enterprise within the field. I have the opportunity and life circumstances more so now than ever to obtain a certificate in Cosmetology. With a Cosmetology Certificate I can work anywhere, in any state, it would be well worth it!  Thank you in advance for your support! 🙂

To donate just click on the following Go Fund Me link:  Help Me Attend Cosmetology School! 🙂

*All funds received would go directly towards the total (out-of-pocket) payment balance of $7,469.50 and any percentages/deductions associated with using the GoFundMe service.

Until Next Time,

Bridget

Today’s Inspirational Scripture©: Who Can Find A Virtuous Woman?

image

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.

She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar.

She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.

She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.

She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.

She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.

She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.

She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.

She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.

She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.

Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.

She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.

Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tounge is the law of kindness.

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
Proverbs 31:10-31 (KJV)

Sewing 101

I took a Sewing 101 class at JO-ANN fabric and craft stores® Saturday and made this cute drawstring bag! 🙂

Drawstring Bag

The class was in a instructional and hands on format with supplies included. We learned the basic supplies needed to begin sewing, the different types of fabrics and their uses, basic instructions on determining the size and amount of fabric needed for a pattern (from the back of a pattern), learned how to thread a sewing machine and bobbin, practiced sewing stitches, toured the store where we viewed the location of the pattern books, how to pull a pattern by number, the variety of threads available, the variety of scissors, the location of different accessories, needles, fabrics and their uses, the location of foam, and buttons and their uses (there are buttons that are non-washable).  Something that I didn’t know! 🙂

The best part of the class for me was using the sewing machine!  We practiced sewing stitches, using different speeds, back stitching (using the reverse button),and made a cute drawstring bag (pictured above)! 🙂

The class was educational and inspiring to sew and to learn more about sewing! 🙂
