I was looking through the reunion book of my family on my mother‘s side and I saw a picture of one of my great-aunt’s and my great-grandfather inside the store that my great-grandparents owned. It made me smile. I was inspired.
My great-grandparents, African-Americans, “owned” a “store” and raised “six” children in Natchez, MS. (The Deep South)
My mother wanted to start her own business as well.
