Why I Stopped Using CLINIQUE 3 Step Collection

About CLINIQUE

Founded in 1968, CLINIQUE is an Estēe Lauder Company.

Per Estēe Lauder Companies website,

“CLINIQUE’s mission has always been to provide the safest, most effective formulas in simple routines that bring remarkable results.”

Also per the website,

It is allergy tested and 100% fragrance free.

My Beginnings With CLINIQUE

1. My mother told me about it. It was something she saw in a magazine or newspaper and she thought that it would be good for me.

2. I also, having an avid interest in skincare, skincare products, beauty products and wanting to have great, beautiful skin, and for my skin to look it’s best, years ago, I tried and started using CLINIQUE Three Step Collection.

At that time, in my young adult years, by the grace of God, I could afford it and the upkeep; maintenance of the product. At least, in my mind and my thinking at that time, I “thought” I could. Now, I have a better understanding of money and value. I did “literally” and “tangibly” have the money to buy it and replenish it when I needed more, it was an investment into my skin and appearance, however, I didn’t have any assets, stock, or long term valuables. But this subject is for another blog and blog post. I have a personal blog about Financial Wealth Management called, Fabulous Finances. Follow to receive posts!

I would purchase CLINIQUE 3 Step Collection from my local, at that time HUDSON’S department store. It is now Macy’s. I still remember the light yellowish big block of facial soap and the sea foam green soap dish – case with the words CLINIQUE across the top of it. I started with the collection for Combination Skin and began switching the toner out for the Combination Oily toner. It became my daily and nightly skin care routine, until I noticed that my skin began to turn dark!

I stopped using it. And I personally, am leary about using it again. It is one of those you know that it did this to your skin, type of thing, therefore you are not going to or don’t want to use it again.

I am African American. I had or have sensitive skin. My skin may have become non sensitive or I just haven’t encountered anything that has irritated it lately.

This is my first hand personal experience with CLINIQUE 3 Step Collection. If you have experienced anything like this, please feel free to share your experience below.

On Christmas Eve, I ordered my credit report from all three reporting agencies:

Equifax, Experian, TransUnion

Also on my list, is to see what my credit score is.

Through Annual Credit Report you can request your credit report from all three credit reporting bureaus, free of charge.

Once every 12 months, you have the “right” to get a “free” copy of your credit file disclosure (your credit report).

There are 3 ways to obtain your free report:

Online:  At Annual Credit Report You can view your credit report online from all three credit reporting agencies.

Phone: By calling 1-877-322-8228, you can order your selected credit report or all three of your credit reports from all three credit reporting agencies.

Writing: There is a form that you can print out from Annual Credit Report’s website that you can fill out and send it to:  Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281

If you haven’t looked at your credit file disclosure all year, with the year ending, this is a great time to order yours. I have been wanting to get a hold of my credit report disclosure for a while now.

No Ring, No Bring

Pippa Middleton, now Mrs. Pippa Matthews of Glen Affric, issued a “No Ring, No Bring” policy to her invited guest to her wedding.

This was the first time that I had heard of such a thing.

The theory of now Mrs. Pippa Matthews of Glen Affric’s No Ring, No Bring: If you are not married to or engaged to the person who you planned to bring to her wedding, you couldn’t bring them as a date to her wedding.

After doing some googling about the subject. This is a step that some people use to cut down the expense of their wedding. Could this also be great to provide more sacredness to the event? Everyone there (who would be eye witnesses) would be either single, separated, or divorced, and if you bring someone as a date to the wedding you would have to be married to the person or engaged to be married. In my opinion, you would invite your family, friends, loved ones, bosses, co-workers, etc., to be guests (eye witnesses) to your wedding! If they brought someone along with them it would be to experience the wedding! To enjoy and celebrate!

It could also provide an opportunity for those who are single to meet other potential singles and if the Lord says the same, possible future spouses. It also could encourage and strengthen the stance of “marriage”.

On the other hand, no pun intended. By not allowing those who are not married and are dating, courting, or just friends to come together as dates or an invited friend, prevents them the opportunity to be exposed to a wedding or marriage ceremony.

Perhaps, by them coming to the wedding, it may spark the desire to marry the person that they brought. Or to be married, period. Or to realize, this is not the person I want to marry. You never know the effect it would have on a person.

It would be accurate to say that it has it pros and cons. How about you? Will you utilize a “No Ring, No Bring” policy at your wedding?

Everybody Isn’t Depressed Or Experiencing Depression, They’re Just Broke!

This might help someone today:

Everybody isn’t depressed or experiencing depression.

Some people are just broke. They don’t have any money to:

1. Catch a plane for a vacation.

2. Go do something that will be fulfilling.

3. Go visit that friend or relative.

4. Buy that dress, suit, book, car, or house that they’ve been desiring.

5. Go get their hair done or to do it themselves.

6. Go to lunch or take a friend to lunch.

If they had the money to do some of these things there would be a significant difference in their behavior.

Some people are not depressed they are just broke! They don’t have any money!
